The Captain of the Danio has now admitted he was only trying to treat his crew to a sight of the Farne Islands Puffins.
A very angry spokesman for the RSPB was reported as saying the captain was clearly a careless ignorant fool, as the puffins are not due to arrive back for another couple of weeks. He went on to say it was however, still not as stupid as the American skipper of a rented fishing boat who ran aground at the lighthouse a decade ago, who explained he had been hoping to catch sight of the famous Grey Starling.
