Following the mysterious absence of any protesters at the Crossrail construction site, allegations are being made that the 'black death grave' may just be a sinister cover up; following the discovery of a 'No to Crossrail' banner amongst the grisly remains.
Suspicions regarding the supposed 'archaeological discovery' were first raised upon the finding of an iPhone 5 clutched in the hand of one of the corpses.
Detective inspector Robinson said of the finding; "inspection of the Apple device leads us to believe that the deceased was in fact a student hippy type, and not an oppressed medieval peasant, struggling on the bottom rung of feudalism, as the detained foreman testifies to us so vehemently". "Though the differences are admittedly barely discernible".
Foreman Alfie and 8 others are undergoing questioning and will no doubt have to answer the accusation that they simply got fed up of being stopped from doing their job and built the rail line over the protesters.
