But a bold new plan by the Ministry of Roads and Taxes might save the day. "It would take years and billions" said a spokesman "to fix all of them the usual way by dolloping in some lukewarm tar. But because there are holes every few yards, we now have the option of cuting away between them and thereby lowering the whole road system a bit. With bridges we could just cut bad sections out - leaving gaps. Most people these days have played platform games so they would be OK with that.
