After a hard days night, a new pope has been chosen from the Cardinals' raffle.
"Pope John Paul George Ringo", the title he has assumed, addressed hopeful crowds gathered at the Vatican and told them the Lady Madonna was watching over them. "She Loves You", said the new pope.
In a short speech which answered many anticipated questions, to the people of the World he said, "All you need is love", at which point the crowds cheered. He acknowledges that he's going to have a busy schedule, and "while there aren't eight days a week, he hopes to be a day tripper as soon as possible", obviously to visit lots of people.
Asked about his predecessor, he gave "No reply", but is expected to speak kindly of him at a later date. Speaking of the recent scandals of the Catholic Church, he simply said "We can work it out", and that past thinking would require a "revolution", much to the crowd's delight. There was some bemusement as he spoke something unintelligible in Latin, which sounded like "I am the walrus in a yellow submarine", but journalists are sceptical.
He is expected to give a private eulogy for the Cardinals in his personal chapel (nicknamed the cavern). Tickets are available online at 'Penny Lane Stores Ltd."
