The football world is reeling at the news that Sir Alec Ferguson has uttered his first intelligible sentence in over 30 years of management. At the end of a press statement, Sir Alec said, "Ye hae tae aeem th' baa at th' back ay th' nit tae win in thes gam. Is there anywhere I can get a cup of tea around here?"
The first part is in the heretofore untranslatable language of Fergusonese - expert linguists believe it's something to do with building a pyramid out of teaspoons. It's the second sentence that's attracting all the attention. It really sounds like normal English.
One Professor of modern languages explained; "This could be the equivalent of the Rosetta Stone; we might finally be able to translate some of the strange, alien sounding utterances of Sir Alec into normal English."
