DNA was 4 years ahead of me at school, though I don't recall meeting him. We were probably both whipped by the same teachers for self-satisfying reasons. Ahh, happy times.
[edit: not intending to name drop at this sensitive time, but Jack Straw, Griff Rhys-Jones & Noel Edmonds would also have been abused with the same Bunsen-burner tubing].

offlineMemberI also just found about this on Facebook. Awful news. Just wanted to echo the sentiments already expressed. When Quaz's name appeared in the Writers Room, I would generally take a look as his output was always high standard.

offlineMemberjust adding the name of an occasional biscuiteer to the long list to say how sad it is to hear that one of our stars Quaz has died. Poor him and his family. He seemed not only talented and funny - not just in stories he submitted but also in quick throwaway comments - but also a nice guy and as others have said a positive presence in biscuitland. Maybe it's a lot to read in to chatroom conversations - I know I didn't know him in the 'real' world - but he seemed he kind of person who just has a good way with words and people.

Just read this - so long there Quaz. Some of those later stories were the best thing I'd read since the one about sliced bread, which was itself fairly wonderful.
