Because despite appearances, Derren Brown has no special powers. Essentially what he does is mainly based on illusion. This illusion gives the viewer a feeling that what they have seen is some form of Magic, sometimes including being able to predict the future. Mr Brown has gone on record to say that he has no powers of seeing into the future. This means his chance of winning the jackpot are the same as anyone else.
