After the recent controversy over the sale of t-shirts bearing the slogan 'Keep Calm and Rape Often', online retailer Amazon have shocked and disgusted many by revealing that his is only a taster of their new line of merchandise targeted at rapists.
"The rapist community is a largely untapped market, and we're simply attempting to provide to them" an Amazon spokesman stated in response to the uproar. "For years these people, who have simply a made a different lifestyle choice to those who like to make love to willing partners, have been ostracized. Through this, we'll hopefully be able to help them integrate into the community at large."
Among the items for sale will be sweatshirts and caps with the phrases 'Rapist and Proud', 'Look out behind you' and 'Are you single? Doesn't bother me!' as well as books giving wannabes tips on how to get their start in the rapist world.
One rapist, who refused to be named, has stated his happiness at the new line. "For years, whenever I've been going out to have a few drinks and maybe rape someone I've felt like I've had nothing to wear. Now I'm going to have a completely new wardrobe. You have no idea how happy I am, and I'm certainly looking to celebrate tonight. Maybe with a woman, possibly one walking home alone."
Amazingly, this news has also been welcomed by non-rape groups. One woman commented "At first I thought like everyone else that these t-shirts were despicable, but last night I was walking home from a nightclub alone after an argument with my boyfriend and saw this guy walking towards me. Normally I'd have walked past, but he had a t-shirt reading "Looking for Rape" so instead I ducked into a pub. If I hadn't done that, then the poor woman he got in choke hold and dragged into the bushes could have been me"
