A petty office rivalry between two workers at JR Holdings in Sussex escalated into full scale war yesterday afternoon after Terry from finance and Nigel from marketing drew North and South Korea respectivly.
Eyewitnesses recount how the previously friendly rivalry became violent after that mornings office sweepstake draw. "They are always joking with each other, who was better at 5-a-side, who was in the boss' best books, and who had pulled the hottest woman in the pub last weekend", says a shocked bystander, "but all that changed after the draw, it started when Terry torpedoed Nigel's newly tidied pen pot with an empty cola can."
Nigel reportedly retaliated by restricting all communication from Finance, causing a major breakdown in the fragile working agreement between the two departments. A second passer-by claimed that by lunchtime tensions were running so high members of both departments were seen coming to blows in the canteen.
Meanwhile Janet in HR, who drew the USA, is considering a number of solutions to resolve the problem. 'I think the best solution is a full scale military invasion of North Korea, uh, sorry Finance' she said
