In a shock decision the US Congressional Court in Delaware has granted the extradition request made by the plaintiffs, Golden Sachs Limited, against British housewife Mrs Edith Moorbridge.
In their affidavit, Golden Sachs cited the scientifically proven ‘Butterfly Effect’ whereby a small action in one part of the world can have great consequences thousands of miles away.
“Mrs Moorbridge” said US attorney Blane Halderman “put the kettle on to make her husband a cup of tea, with total disregard to the global economic consequences.”
If found guilty Mrs Moorbridge could face up to 400 years in jail, under severe US anti-causing a global economic crisis laws.
Mrs Moorbridge pleaded her innocence, but admitted that looking back, a glass of juice might have been a better idea.
A UK government spokesman said that, although it may seem a bit harsh, the United States were a very powerful country and we can’t afford to upset them, “what with all the shit our economy is in and everything”.
