More details have emerged about Cardinal Keith O'Brien resignation. Plans have been announced for Mr O'Brien to host a revived Top of the Pops and a weekend show on Radio 1.

"It's hard travelling to catholic church events, pretending not to know the man in a full gimp suit sitting next to you on the plane, having to excuse yourself from late night parties with the nuns to meet up discreetly. Now that same-sex marriage is legal, I plan to marry myself and my husband. He's a bit older than me, and also in the Church -but again, has just recently announced his plans to resign from his position -and take up one with me."
