Language tips from Gordon the cat
Did you know that the cat was so revered by Ancient Egyptians that they simply called us "Mau"?
"Mau" - sometimes written "Meow" - is actually the name that we use to refer to ourselves, and by choosing to say this word in the original Cat (rather than making up a random Human word) the Ancient Egyptians proved that they were people of respect and virtue. Indeed, a great many blessings were bestowed upon their civilisation as a result.
Modern Chinese also call us "Mau", and we would be happy to bestow similar blessings upon them once they take the word off their menus.
