Although converting to Catholicism back in December 2007, it has come to light that former British PM Tony Blair has still to enter the confessional in order to make his first Sacrament of Penance.
'Crikey, is it that long' said Mr. Blair, when it was pointed out he was accepted into the RC church nearly 3 years ago.
When it was explained to Mr. Blair that the confessional is a small booth located in church where Catholics go to seek forgiveness and reconciliation for their sins he replied 'oh, that explains it then, no wonder I didn't know what it was.
A confessional eh, that's neat. So that's why there wasn't a toilet roll...good job there was some old books lying around, in the end I had to make do with Corinthians, page 14:1
Mr. Blair, who was taking a break from a busy lecture tour of the USA admitted he has had little time for prayer recently and he had not been in touch with God
'But if he would like to speak to me, I am sure Cheri could cut him a deal. But not Sundays, it's my day off'.
