Ladbrokes the national Bookmaker Chain is the latest company to fall victim in the tainted good’s scandal. An anonymous group of semi-addicted gamblers have setup a Facebook page to publicly air their grievances. It claim’s many of Ladbrokes regular punters where incensed when they realised they had been betting on horse racing for years only to find race results confirmed they’d actually backed a Donkey.
Ladbrokes chief executive Philly Buster has announced plans to tighten the reigns at race courses. Mr Buster went on to state “Regardless of costs: we’ll now be issuing Course Stewards with a quality, full colour, A4 picture of a Race Horse”, it’s hoped this will help Stewards identify any potential Donkeys before they get to the starting line. As for the Facebook group, Mr Buster said we don’t really know what a semi-addicted gambler looks like so to identify anyone would be a huge gamble.
