Apparently it's quite important that it does for our google hits or whatever, although I quite liked having the stories set out in order of submission.

What about a compromise, if the display order can be set independently for writers' and chat.

It makes perfect sense that stories should appear in the sequence in which they were submitted (latest at the top) rather than pop back up every time they attract a comment.

But it also makes sense that on-going chat threads / Neat-O's and the like DO pop back up to the top.
