Arnold Hepplewhite of Pound Close Leicester has been fined £100 for failing to clear up a large Richard III that his dog Skipper had deposited in a supermarket car park.
Scientists took several months to track down Mr Hepplewhite and Skipper using state of the art DNA tests on small pieces of bonio found in the deposit.
Identification was finally proven after tests were carried out on the curved spine of the Richard III which proved it matched exactly with other samples that Skipper had curled out previously.
