offlineMemberIn one episode of Rab C. Nesbitt, for complicated plot reasons, Rab and his neighbour ask a hit man to kill somone, and then change their minds. (Can't do the Glaswegian accent, so you'll have to imagine.)
The hit man is unwilling to relinquish the commission.
"I understand - you're a professional" says Rab "So we'll pay you anyways, jes' you dinna kill him"
"Nae" replies the hit man "I'm a professional. I'll kill him anyways, jes' ye dinna pay me."
