It appears that the “one rule of them and another rule for others” is very much alive as it was revealed by the Gotham Gazette last week.
Reporter Vicky Vale said “Year after year, some wealthy individuals have used all sorts of scams, double-dealing and fancy accounting to pay little or no tax and this has got to come to a stop otherwise Gotham and society in general will suffer”
The article draws attention to a number of irregularities and accuses Mr Wayne of:
- Changing his home address to Nepal to benefit from their low personal tax allowances
- Off-setting £4 billion to the Wayne Enterprises Applied Sciences division knowing that no products would ever come to market
- Intentionally setting fire to Wayne Manor to claim £3.7 million when actual repairs were estimated to be only £1 million
She has provided the evidence to Mayor Hamilton Hill, who will be investigating and told us that “if Bruce Wayne has a case to answer, then we will pursue him – there is no asylum for tax dodgers and not even Bruce Wayne can be two-faced about his affairs!”
