QPR and Wigan Athletic are going head-to-head to sign the Swansea City ball boy at the centre of a sending-off storm in the Capital Cup.
Both Premiership sides are thought to have come in with a six-figure offer for the 17 year old. They appear not to have been put off by a clause in the boy's contract allowing him to listen to all offers over one million pounds, initiated by the boy's agent and father, a Swansea City Director.
The Wigan manager commented, "In a relegation scramble where Fergy-time comes into effect at many grounds, we feel having this lad will be our 'Ace-in-the-Hole' in terms of time-wasting."
Harry Rednap at QPR is thought to be considering the ball boy as a replacement for on-loan Joey Barton.
"The club has lost a lot of Twitter followers since Joey left and apparently this lad has 80,000. With accompanying shirt sales it looks like good business to me."
Swansea City commented,"We don't want to lose him but we expect more offers to come in as the Transfer Deadline approaches. His contract at the club expires at the end of this season and we may be forced to sell if the right offer comes along or risk losing him for nothing."
