Oh what the hell
It might be rubbish but it is Black Monday week
And everybody else is struggling too
So why not?
A British grandmother arrested at Bali airport was allowed to walk free after customs officials found nothing but a pair of chipmunks in her luggage.
The chipmunks, named Cheech and Chong were found hidden in the lining of a suitcase during a routine search but a quick check by quarantine officials confirmed that the cuddly little rodents were not on the list of banned animals and could enter the country legally.
The grandmother said she had been given the chipmunks by a man with a beard at Heathrow and were intended as a birthday present for his cousin, a taxi driver from Mengwi.
Hard pressed customs officials said they had been on the look-out for people smuggling drugs into the country and the cute little chipmunks had provided welcome relief from the day to day grind of frisking passengers, checking parcels and searching through luggage.
A spokesman for the Indonesian Tourist Board said the lady had done much to improve the image of Bali as a tourist destination and that the chubby cheeked rodents would be welcome visitors to the archipelago any time they liked.
I'm thinking that Cheech and Chong were either sitting on the drugs or that the rodents were so high they thought they were up the ruddy tree :-)
