This is awesome, properly funny!
Being a miserable bastard I don't 'LOL' very often, but I did at this. Or perhaps I had a mini-stroke, it's hard to be sure.

The crisp packet distress signal is still making me chuckle.
Great stuff Wayland - local radio should broadcast it at times like this.
BBC Radio Shropshire brought in a snow 'expert' this morning and guess what they asked him?
"So, what is snow?"
He was stumped!
WTF!!!!
Was that Dan Snow, or Jon Snow?
Snow idea...
I enjoyed that.
Now wipe yourself down...
I don’t like a lot of stuff on the daily mash but that’s two stories in a week that have made me do a proper lol. This one and the one about chips.
And I’m a miserable sod like wayland too, so I don’t often laugh at things.
Rather sadly, I laugh less at satirical subs then when I first popped into the internet but this was a genuine chuckler.
Genius. Love the Mash.
This one was a good'en too, but then I love swearing and I also love crabs.
Er, you're joking right? I'll admit I quite liked the crisp packet distress signal, but like most Mash stories they left all the funny out.
Oh, come on. What about:
"Use spanners to remove your car’s engine then climb inside, getting into the foetal position.”
Agreed.
Yet another gem.
I'd love to know who writes for the Mash
They are on top of their game
Monster Mash
I excitedly clicked on the link after Wayland's recommendation but no lols here unfortunately - my miserable bastard gene must be highly developed.
All was not lost though as I cheered myself up with an episode of Miranda ...

Both 'proprietors' are pro journos, which would explain why some of their stuff is just insane enough to have been written either stoned or pissed, or both.
Closed shop unfortunately. Can't agree that they're not funny. For me, the funniest satire site on the web. They have their good and bad days, but I would have said consistency of brilliance is where they score higher than most.
Fortunately, humour is subjective, or we'd all love the same thing and then some of the utter shit that passes for comedy wouldn't be out there for us to hate.
For me, it's the Onion. Really understated a lot of the time but normally excellent and clever. Don't always get all of the US references, though.
I need to take a closer look at the Onion. It's passed me by a bit. I did pick up a copy of their newspaper when I was in Chicago once, and it had a great story about Paul Simon nicking all his songs from other people.
Daily Mash still funny, Onion still best says Area Man.
I like the general snarkiness of The Daily Mash - something which doesn't seem to go down so well here. The Onion rarely sets a foot wrong in my opinion.
