Recent tests have shown that poverty levels in the UK have now become so bad that some people have taken to eating significant quantities of horse meat. It now appears that Tesco customers and possibly customers of other supermarket chains have been eating significant amounts of horse meat in order to help reduce their food bills.
A government spokesman commented "It is encouraging to see people adapt their eating habits to adjust to live within their means. So people will now be in a better financial position to accommodate the major cuts and public sector redundancies we have planned for the coming year".
