I recently did a quiz of the year. I thought I would be shit because I don’t really pay attention to the news, but it turns out that seeing a flood of one-liners on every topic that dominates the headlines for a day or two really helps you to remember the events of the year.

When December 2013 rolls around I’m pretty confident that I’ll remember that it was horse meat that was found in a Tesco burger.

Everyone's assuming it's horse meat, but wasn't it just horse DNA? It could be horse hair, horse spunk, anything.

Yes, I usually gather that something has occured from here and then eventually stumble across the real story ...

And if the correct spelling of a prominent BBC paedo comes up in my local quiz, I'll say "Savile" ... yes just the one "L", yes I'm VERY sure.
