Following news that horse-meat has been found in their ‘economy’ beefburgers, Richard Brawn, Tesco's Head of Customer Appeasement, expressed his surprise. “The standard inventory of ingedients, in our economy range of beefburgers, includes offal, mechanically recovered meat, gristle, cartilage, spinal cord, snot, bone, hoof, hide, brain and shit... with salt and pepper to taste. We will have to re-examine our supply chain to find out how something as tasty and nutritious as horse-meat found its way into these non-premium products. With these burgers further reduced in price, as a ‘buy one, get one free’ offer, we feel that Tesco customers on a budget have never had it so good. Bon appetit!”
Tesco "gobsmacked" to find anything as palatable as horse-meat in their burgers.
