Stupid idea, writinginbsl. Greengrocers would have to sell each item individually and my local caf'e would have to shut down.

Regarding the poor abused apostrophe: I feel like John Cleese seething "LOOK! IT'S PERFECTLY SIMPLE!!!"

"Its" as the posessive version of a personal pronoun does not have an apostrophe, any more than "hi's", "her's", "our's" or "Their's".
