very good. and the truth in 2032? this is already very close to the system under which asylum seekers waiting for their case to be heard receive their 2/3 of income support - they get special cards loaded with credits - except that they can only use their cards at certain large chains/supermarkets, not independent shops. of course, there's no suggestion that the owners of these large chains might have donated money to any political parties...

Sir Lupus - what colour are the asylum stamps?/cards I briefly flirted with that idea when putting the sub together but didn't realise they already existed.

Damn - are ration books going to be Oyster Cards in future (or 'value-range beans' cards)?

Don't know what colour, I'll investigate. I guess in the future everything will be cards - or on yr phone - but that makes it look sort of cool or desirable, whereas the ration stamps idea gets closer to the miserly heart of the idea.

and asylum seekers as the new version of Thatcher's Scotland - everything is tested on them first...?
