   - UK carefully reasserts its sovereignty of Falklands
   - The Sun reinforces this in full-page advert in Buenos Aires Herald

   - likely, this really upsets the Argentinians
   - dispute escalates, causing problems for UK government
   - now, let me think, who owns The Sun - name begins with "M", been in the news recently ...

   The word "revenge" springs to mind.

   I thought it was funny but if it was my letter I would have hinted that Kirchner spread wide her diplomatic channel for an easy passage for the back room boys.

   I did wonder if they had cleared it with the foreign office. Do the Argentinians know what The Sun is? I sure as hell do not know the political stance of the BA Herald!

   I'm sure someone over there will helpfully find a copy of their Gotcha! front page to help Argentinians decide whether to take any notice of the Sun's arguments or not.

   sigmund, apologies for leaving it slightly ambiguous. I think The Sun is trying to make the UK seem imperialist, whereas in fact it's the Argentinians who want more territory. Not to mention the oil. (drat, I just mentioned it)

   Curious that this news article is given very low prominence on the BBC website.

   I was going to post something silly (as usual) about UKIP intending to move all our immigrants over to The Falklands, although being tiny islands they'd probably sink...
