Ageing pensioner equine Mr Ed, and now retired bovine Ermintrude were arrested late last night by a partially deaf police officer who thought he had been informed by Police HQ to bring in any suspects relating to Saddle and Udders.
Both animals have now been released without charge following questioning through the course of the night.
This morning a lawyer outside the police station representing Mr Ed stated his client had been arrested under the part of the inquiry relating to Saddle. He added that Mr Ed had admitted taking visiting schoolchildren for "rides" around his paddock in the long gone past as it was just the done thing back then.
However on her release a furious Ermintrude who was arrested under the part of the enquiry relating to Udders, has stated she intends to take the unfounded allegations against her further. Indicating that she may even be looking to counter accuse on the basis that it was actually her tits that were getting fondled by these visiting schoolchildren as they tried to milk her.
