General Secretary of the RMT union, Bob Crow, has today claimed that all of the current disruption on Britain’s rail network is ‘conclusive proof’ that God is a socialist. Industrial action due on Boxing Day had been cancelled, but Crow believes that the rain shows God truly believes his members should still have the day off.
‘It’s nice to know that God also believes that a staff member who has been through the correct disciplinary procedure and dismissed for his appalling customer service should be reinstated’ Mr Crow told journalists. ‘Although if he now joins the Labour Party, he will have to get used to having union leaders around and therefore sharing his omnipotence’
Consumer groups have criticised the action. A spokesman for Passenger Focus told us they believe ‘any action that has been voted on and carried out with a turnout of only one person should not be legally binding’. When informed that the one person was God, they admitted they were still talking about the Boxing Day strike.
