The police investigation sparked by enquiries into the activities of Jimmy Savile has claimed another victim who was at the height of his fame in the 1970s. Fred the Homepride Man became a household name advertising flour, with his trademark bowler hat and suit.
Now he has been accused of abusing one of his fans. The woman claims that Fred took advantage of her when he was still regularly featuring on British TV screens. She said "He got me to roll naked in flour. I had no idea why it was so lumpy. And all the time he sat there in his famous suit with his hand on his groin muttering 'graded grains make finer flour'" (see reconstruction above).
Operation Yewtree, which has invented time travel if headlines like 'police interview man in 60s' are to be believed, is also looking for a fat, bearded man in a red suit who reportedly keeps children from revealing his abuse by telling them that he sees them when they're sleeping and knows if they're awake.
