Lumme Andhrimnir! How much knowledge do you absorb when you ARE interested in something? You must be quite the human sponge.

Hello Plucky. Been a bit busy.
Pootled around on Saturday after drinking too much on Friday.
Sunday visited Mrs Scroat's sister to help her prior to moving house. This involved taking pics of furniture and other stuff to sell on Gumtree.
Yesterday walked the latest section of the Oxfordshire Way - from Shipton-under-Wychwood to Stonesfield, stopping for a pub lunch at Charlbury. About ten miles.
Busy working all day today which makes a change. Cycling to the Lamb at Satwell tonight for monthly session with the lads. Loddon beer is strongly recommended.
Bottom line - I'm knackered Plucky!

I only remember the quite interesting things in life - burning diesel to generate electricity to drive a train I find oddly interesting particularly when tens of years later Toyota have the abominable Prius epiphany.
Blow George does make me titter so and can be very entertaining in mixed company particularly if anyone is eavesdropping or hard of hearing - I wonder if the sign language for it is similar to Cockermouth?
I confess to having looked up 3374 and perhaps unfortunately I will now always remember that that particular locomotive was a diesel which may get me mistaken for a trainspotter which I am most definitely not.Posted 3 years ago # -
Mr Scroat, Wychwood - I believe that they make that beer stuff I enjoy so much?
I had a marathon of Hobgoblin, Sneck Lifter and Old Tom over a very long weekend, so much so that I was thinking of taking the pledge this morning, not least because we have run out of beer and no deliveries until Thursday. Then I read that Alzheimers has been linked to the beer belly so I've forgotten what it was I was supposed to stop doing. Does anyone know if I won the Eurovision I recall getting up to sing but was distracted and missed the voting?Posted 3 years ago # -
Nice to hear from you Scroaty. I am sure you will recover quickly. I wish I could get up the motivation to walk. I know, apart from anything else, that it is good for you.
Mr Rimnir, I hope you are not being trainspoterist. There is surely nothing wrong in sitting at the end of a station platform, with a packed lunch, writing down numbers?

by any chance is "Old Tom" welsh for Cordwangler?

Hobgoblin on draught is excellent, and not too hangovery. Did you say you were in Norway Sooty? If so, how do you get your beer delivered?

Bronwyn, "old tom" is Welsh for "wedding tackle".

'Hello Dolly' is Welsh for 'I spit on you'.
