So am I the only person who buys sprouts at other times of year?
Lovely when steamed and served with lashings of butter and black pepper...

I'm with you Jeni.

Brussel sprouts - not a food, more like a cry for help.

Lovely stir-fried with sesame seeds and orange juice.
Apparently, there's a genetic mutation that means some people find the taste of sprouts very bitter.

Yay!! We should unite against those genetic mutants, and make the sprout a loved veg again.
*mutters* Ha!! Mutants...

Some of us are only allowed sprouts at Christmas due to the somewhat unfortunate effect they have on our methane production

It's not US with the genetic mutation, it's you strange few who claim to actually like them.

Why are the sprouts in the aisles and not on the shelves ? (no, that's not the intro to a cracker joke).
I'm with Jeni on this - I'll buy some any time I see them. They're great - just like mini cabbages.

Thanks for the reminder, better get them on soon

Yup,lovely in a stir-fry.

Apparently 30% of French people don't have smelly piss after eating asparagus. Could this same genetic digestive mutation be true for sprouts among Belgians?

Everybody buys them at Christmas - but nobody eats them - surely.
