A Norwich metal detector enthusiast realised how much he owed his sidekick younger brother after finding a rare Roman earring on farmland near their home.
Although inseparable, the two brothers never really get along, and their weekly efforts to find buried treasure never seemed to go smoothly, often descending into hilariously farcical situations.
"I blamed my little brother for holding me back, preventing me from achieving the success I deludedly think I deserve," admitted the older one, in a rare display if self-awareness.
"I used to punctuate all my conversations with him with pithy put-downs, but now I see I need him as much as he needs me."
"No doubt things'll be back to normal next week, mind."
