   Now, maybe I've got this wrong, but surely all farmers & construction companies who are legally entitled to use this fuel are probably already aware of it.

   So, why does it need to be advertised widely (not just here) ? Surely they're not encouraging illegal use ?

   Sinnick: There was a red diesel ref in a NiB yesterday which may well have been the trigger. Was it a generic ad or promoting one particular brand?

   Edit: I haven't seen the red diesel but do get a lot of ads relating to alzheimers, pensions, inheritence tax planning and dating of the older woman

   I ordered fifty gallons of the stuff and now have to find somewhere to store it. The cellar seems the best option at the moment.

   It's these fashion-conscious farmers with their red tractors and a desire for coordinated accessories.

   True: a sign-writer friend of mine had a red van, beautifully inscribed on the back 'Van Rouge'.

   Back in the day a lovely but "excitable" marketing director at Bottoms Up comissioned a fleet of Van Blanc and Van Rouges; small vans with bottle shaped bodies. He was one of those guys who wouldn't take NO for an answer. At the press launch not one of the London based vans managed to negociate a corner without rolling on its side.
