Actually, I have a question about this.

Does a one-liner that have made ticker stop a fuller story being published later? Would think it should be ok given the "more soon" ending of most tickers ...

Being more of a fan than a writer, could I humbly suggest that perhaps an extended version on this theme could be based on the production team's frantic efforts to find the correct balance of washed up and publicity hungry celebs? That way, Al could put the words into fictional character's mouths and expound it as their thoughts, and not the thoughts of the writer. I'm not sure, but that should sidestep libel laws.

Oh, and stars too. Made me laugh.
