With the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge leaving the King Edward VII hospital this morning, a nurse looking after the expectant princess told Heart FM she was 'feeling much better'.The statement came in the middle of a 'guess that sound' competition with the nurse looking to win the £25 Argos voucher jackpot.
"Is it the sound of a women in early stage labour" she asked presenters before adding "you'll never guess who I had in my ward?". When asked for the identity of the mystery patient she revealed, in what she later called a slip of the tongue, the princesses name, address, medication, bra size and Internet banking PIN number.
The embarrassment comes a day after 2 Australian DJs managed to gain information about the pregnant princess by doing impressions that made Ronnie Ancona look good. The radio station have since apologised for holding such a hack competition, and the hospital have said they are reviewing their policy of allowing staff to enter 'breakfast show competitions'.
Despite this recent embarrassment, the hospital did tell us of another prank call they managed to intercept. "We had someone phoning to speak to the Princess who said he was the Prime Minister" the spokesperson told us. "He said his name was David Cameron and he was 'running the country', at which point we hung up. We can fall for a prank, but we won't believe any old shit"
