Hot on the successful heels of Grindr the geosocial networking application geared towards gay, bisexual, and bi-curious men, a new app, Grandr has now been designed especially for straight, desperate men who have failed to pull on a Friday night.
Running on iOS, Blackberry OS, and Android devices Grandr allows users to locate older and available women within close proximity without having to trawl Wetherspoons, linger outside bingo halls or tour kebab shops on a Friday night.
App developer, Justin Davis explained how it works, “Grandr has a user interface that displays a grid of representative pictures of flabby, gagging and legless grannies, arranged from nearest to farthest away. Tapping on a picture will display a brief profile for that user, as well as the option to exchange lewd suggestions, send pictures of your knob, and share one's location.”
The app has been tested in various locations throughout the UK with great success. One grateful beneficiary, Kathleen Connor, a 52 year old grandmother from Walsall spoke of its success, “Before Grandr I had to rely on girlfriends to point me in the direction of the nearest desperate bloke. Now they can find me in a split second saving my poor legs from trotting backwards and forwards along the high street in my high heels.”
Kevin Percy from Lichfield said, “It’s a revolutionary app. I can go out with the lads, safe in the knowledge that I won’t be the only one who hasn’t pulled after ten pints of Carling. Grandr nails an older nympho within seconds allowing you to do the business and still get the last bus home on a Friday without the missus nagging you when you get in two hours late.”
However tests in Hull have led to a low take up of the app where, as one Friday night reveller explained, “Grabbing a granny on a Friday night is a tradition here, we don’t need fancy technology for a good old knee tremble.”
Meanwhile on the Isle of Wight, inventor Mark Steele has come up with a device made from a net and a long stick which he hopes to patent in the near future.
