Jeni, I missed the fork story. I have a friend here who was brought up in the housing projects. It may have been his family if the dateline is Quincy, MA. I have witnessed members of his family inviting a sister or brother into the parking lot (wedding venue, funeral home) for a beating. They think nothing of it. Both sexes (all sexes if we count his butch leather housebreaking niece) participate. A Thanksgiving fork stabbing would be right up their littered alley.
