Philip Glass' music, although I like it very much, always makes me a bit anxious. If anyone gets one note wrong, the whole thing collapses.
too true. When the dog is at home it is no good having this extra complication. What you need is a bit of a change. Why not spend an afternoon comparing the different approaches of Canadian Brass and Jaques Loussier to Bach.
As an ex-jazz and blues piano player, I always thought that Bach was one of the very few classical composers who's music you could syncopate without ruining it. It is probably indestrucible. On the other hand, Jaques Loussier gets on your tits after a bit.
