It was revealed last night that, shortly after firing Roberto Di Matteo, Roman Abramovich wrote a cheque for four million pounds and sent it to Pep Guardiola, the next prospective Chelsea manager. He then attended a press conference to explain this move.
‘Well, I realise that this football team needs a manager, but I am also realise that manager is never going to be able to achieve what I require and tends to get in the way of me making decisions for them. So I simply send him his four year contract and his being fired payment together and he never needs to leave his house’.
When questioned Pep Guardiola said:
‘I am happy to have had the management of Chelsea football club on my CV, but then again, who hasn’t?’
