Telly Phonica's office manager Gill E Coston was hopping mad last night as dozens of statues remained unclaimed at her company's prestigious state of the art 3D printer.
"Why on earth do people print statues off when they don't need them," said Coston.
Coston said she will have to get tough with users unless they take notice of her warnings. On the wall beside the printer, a polite notice urges users to think about the environment before hitting Control P. "Do you really need to recreate the Taj Mahal in three dimensions," says the notice. Evidently, the users felt they had to at some stage, Coston says.
"Last week I threw away three model Taj Mahals, a Grand Canyon and a Hanging Gardens of Babylon," she says. "I wouldn't mind, but we're a technology company. What do the seven wonders of the world have to do with machine to machine communications?"
