Police forensic teams examining a “deposit” found at an undisclosed location in South Manchester - described by officers as "seedy" - are using DNA techniques to discover whether it belongs to Conservative candidate Matthew Sephton, who is reported to have lost it last night. Sephton, who denies he was out with UKIP candidate Marc Ramsbottom , denied embarrassment at the loss, and said rumours that it may be linked to him are “premature”.
