Oil company BP has stirred-up controversy by saying that the record fine for polluting the American coastline was actually good value for money. "Who doesn't want to annoy the yanks?", said a spokesman. "Yes, it's expensive, and a bit of an indulgence for the CEO, but given the opportunity, why not?"
