The head of cbeebies, Mark Smith has stood down after shocking revelations about journalistic malpractice at the BBC continue to be uncovered. The latest incident to come to the fore reveals that famed explorer, Dora, has not in fact traveled to any of the countries she claimed to have visited. Rumours are also circulating that Clifford is not in fact a big red dog, but instead a carefully crafted cartoon animation, pretending to be a dog.
Sources inside the BBC say "the license fee doesn't cover the cost of the DG's lunches let alone a real explorer or a real red dog. We thought we did have a real red dog once, but it turned out be closer to light brown when someone washed the paint off".
Members of the public have been quick to point an accusatory finger at the BBC, Millicent Evans age 5 from West Bromwich said "It seems you just can't trust the BBC, I rely on them for my daily dose of factual entertainment, and now it appears that everything they have done is a lie. I'll have to go back to watching more appropriate DVD's like Childs Play, or play Medal of Honour on the Xbox, at least I know they're real.
