Her majesty Queeen Elizabeth II has revealed that she often uses her mobile phone whilst 'Expelling a foreigner' to view internet sites such as Twitter, Facebook and John Lewis, but would never answer an incoming call in case it sounded too echoey or might be mistaken for dropping a potato into the bath.
'With one's Christmas message around the corner, one doesn't wish to be associated with the common practice of answering a call whilst discharging royal duties, even though one could blame it on a corgi' blogged the monarch on her Buckplace.com Wordpress site.
'The extent to which the Royal Family has embraced social media is encourging to us all' commented the BBC's Royal correspondent Jenni Bond 'And the fact that her Majesty is not in the least embarrassed to read Alan Sugar's tweets whilst laying cables is a credit to the openness of the honours system because Lord Sugar is also keen to make it known he blogs on the bog or Nick as he prefers to call the opening to the sewer.'
Her Majesty's dilemma when the newly re-elected President Obama called her while she was liaising with porcelain was solved by her husband who answered on her behalf and muttered something 'About a slippery turd being sent to the tower.' To which the President asked the Prince Philip to speak more politely about Mitt Romney, or Nick Clegg.'
