The BBC Trust today outlined the full impact of Recent public spending cuts on the BBC.
Presenters with regional accents and speech impediments will be gradually phased out from the corporation. The first high profile casualties are Adrian Chiles and Jonathon Ross.
A BBC insider said "the big winner is received pronunciation, after 40 years out of favour, the budget cuts will mean we have to hark back a a more simpler time"
The Government have been quick to support the initiative and have pointed out that a cut glass accent on our TV and Radio will halt the creeping advancment of "Broken Britain".
One senior Whitehall Mandarin pointed out that we now have finally got rid of those terrible commoners, tradesmen and Scots in Government. Now we have a real PM with the right accent".
