David Cameron has reacted quickly to allegations that boys from Welsh care homes were abused by Tory politicians back in the 1970s. “Moral standards were different back then. It was thought acceptable to recruit boys for sex, pass them around at will, and leave a tenner on the bedside table. ‘Fiscal foreplay’, MPs used to call it. However, I’d like to think we know better these days about how to behave. As gentlemen are aware - certainly anyone who has ever been a member of the Bullingdon Club - you pass the port to the left and rent boys to the right”...
