The owner of a satirical website says he will be taking an increasingly ‘hands-off’ approach in the near future to concentrate on his passion for handbags.

The comedy writer and broadcaster is believed to have over 10,000 handbags and purses in his collection but despite filling every room in the house insists he is still in the market ‘for any colourful little number I haven’t already got’.
The self-styled ‘Queen of the Handbag’ launched the satirical news website as an outlet for British comedy writing in 2005 but the site has featured less and less as a vehicle for comedy in recent years and - as his fetish grew - has steadily turned itself into an important on-line vehicle for sourcing the ladies fashion accessory.

The author - or ‘Lady Bracknell’ as he is known to family and close friends – says he first became aware of his passion for handbags after visiting the Imelda Marcos Shoe Museum in Manilla, admitting he was ‘knocked out’ by the sheer variety of lady footwear on display.
The broadcaster says he is particularly interested in obtaining an Emilio Pucci Glitter Box Clutch....'but it must be the limited edition 2008 as I've got all the others...it's to die for'.
The museum opens on Monday 29th October 2012
Opening times Mon-Sat 10am – 5pm (wheelchair access)
