Staff who failed to register a leading Muslim cleric as he boarded a flight to Iraq have been suspended say Etihad Airways.
But union officials hit back ,saying staff had been forced to leave their posts with an upset stomach after eating a particularly spicy, orange coloured curry served in the staff canteen.
Although some staff were later able to resume duties a spokesperson for Etihad Airways warned that if check-in tickers miss Allah again they could face instant dismissal.
