The Duchess of York dismissed rumours of a rift with the Royal family by showing reporters a personal invitation from HM Queen to an 'Impromptu event' to be held at the Tower of London on Saturday.
"I am delighted to accept her majesty's kind invitation. and am particularly looking forward to it because the tower is such an unusual venue, normally she entertains at Buckingham Oalace or Windsor Castle" said the excited duchess.
"It's going to be quite an informal event so her majesty has advised me to dress casually and not to wear white, and because she doesn't know what time it will finish also suggested that I don't book the return taxi just yet."
"She must be thinking how she can help me, after all I overheard her speaking to Prince Philip about having a old bill cancelled."
